|Couples don’t need the law to tell them how to live togetherPosted: 22 Nov 2009 05:23 AM PST
Years ago, I used to urge my students at Oxford to conduct their love affairs in silence. I told them that the laws that govern property ownership might depend on the way in which the title of their home is registered, but also on what is said in a relationship. So if those young men said to a woman: “Come and live with me and I will take care of you – you don’t need your own place”, they might have found that they were in debt to the tune of half the property when love came to an end. At least my students knew the pitfalls.

|Abuse by Child protection servicesPosted: 22 Nov 2009 04:21 AM PST
This can happen to ANYONE
It is not limited to people that are mad or bad. I have a 20 year career in health and social care. I am now falsely determined unfit to parent children, or even work with them. Because I apparantly lacked insight into children when I said my child was abused. I cried too much and had ” unusul beliefs” Which nobody knows what they are. I now find myself protecting myself from protective services, who are terrorising myself and my child. Noone can win in battle with these people. No matter how ” clean” your record may be. I was diagnosed as schizophrenic by a school teacher, who then terrified my daughter by informing her I was psychotic and murderous, before inviting me into a school classroom to be hospitalised infront of her. Without any conversation with a doctor confirming the teachers fabricated and inapproriate diagnosis. Despite it being determined that I am not and never was ill. No thing has been done, except remove my daughter from me, and pay for the teacher to continue to teach. ? Noone has spoken with the teacher to ensure she is safe as a human being. Her evidenced and witnessed lies are not wanted by services. Services do not mind teachers terrifying children. But they mind parents crying when their child does not return home following horrific and evidenced abuse. They mind so much that my daughter was removed from me because of it. DO not cry when your child is abused. ? When a childs life is threatened by abuse, social services remove them if you cry. BUT DO NOT INVESTIGATE ABUSE !!!!!! This is acceptable practise, I am informed.

|It’s a Freekin Party!!!Posted: 21 Nov 2009 11:19 AM PST
It’s National Adoption Day…
A day for celebration…
The day that dreams of forever homes are finally fulfilled…
For some it ends the journey through foster care…
For others it means that your child is no longer yours…
Here’s a big pile of Adoption Propaganda for you…
Some will be happy…
Others will be sad…
Of course there is no mention or sympathy or concern for those who have lost their children to the child protective industry…
Only joy for the newly created families…
Only one side of the story is told here…
You don’t hear much about the challenges that lie ahead for many of these kids…
You don’t hear about the devastation and heartbreak that the real families are going through…
It gives legitimacy and justification for the whole mess so that the ignorant will continue to blindly support the practice…
It puts a positive spin on a negative situation…
It makes monsters look like hero’s…
It makes them look like they’re doing their jobs…
In some cases it’s a good thing…
In other cases it’s pure bullshit…
It’s all good though because it puts to rest all that they did wrong…
You see, when you adopt out, all case files documenting the agencies fraud are sealed and destroyed.
So, don’t just celebrate national adoption day, celebrate each adoption as another victory for the Child Protective Industry getting away with Child Welfare and Medicaid fraud.
Because in many of these cases, that’s just what they did…
Kind of like rubbing your face in dog shit. Isn’t it?

|435 F3d 326 State of Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services v. Department of Health and Human Services OPosted: 21 Nov 2009 09:07 AM PST
The United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) appeals from a judgment of the district court vacating three policy announcements for lack of notice and comment rulemaking and ordering approval of a cost allocation plan (CAP) submitted by the State of Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (Nebraska). Because Nebraska challenged only HHS’s rejection of its proposed CAP, the district court erred in vacating the announcements. The court also abused its discretion when it determined the CAP should be approved rather than remanding the matter for the Department to reconsider its decision without reference to the policy announcements.
|Argentina forces dirty war orphans to provide DNAPosted: 21 Nov 2009 09:03 AM PST
Valuing truth over the right to privacy, Argentina’s Congress has authorized the forced extraction of DNA from people who may have been born to political prisoners slain a quarter-century ago _ even when they don’t want to know their birth parents.
Human rights activists hope the new law will help find about 400 people stolen as babies, many from women who were kidnapped and gave birth inside clandestine torture centers during the 1976-1983 dictatorship. Thousands of leftists disappeared in what became known as the “dirty war” against political dissent.
