A heterosexual couple who adopted three children together in the state of Illinois moved to Michigan several years later. As often happens, things ended and the couple went to court to determine custody of their children. To their surprise, the court determined that neither the man nor woman is considered the legal parent since Michigan has different adoption laws than Illinois, so the court refused to even hear the case. What should have been a straight forward custody case escalated into a protracted legal battle that needed to be decided by the Michigan State Court of Appeals.

Josh and Courtney Swain of Carbondale think of their four foster kids as their own. They want to adopt them and give them a home that’s much more stable than the one the boys came from.
But Josh Swain says the system is failing.
“This has been presented to case workers and attorneys and everyone is in agreement that the case isn’t going in a positive direction, but currently the Illinois system doesn’t allow for a speedy process in terminating these parents’ rights,” he said.

Unfortunately it is becoming more and more common to hear reports of how the pharmaceutical industry is manipulating scientific findings and in turn readily handing out prescriptions to children, often unnecessarily. The factor that seems to be driving this trend is very simply the almighty dollar. Keep reading to find out who is responsible for this recent trend, and why your doctor may be getting your child hooked on unnecessary drugs.

The Vista Maria campus for girls has gorgeous brick buildings spread out over 37 acres. You could easily mistake it for a boarding school out east. There’s the big lawn out front. Volleyball courts behind each hall. Inside, you’ll find some girls watching a movie, others are working out, and some are getting ready for the big Fall dance.
But that’s where the similarities end.
Note from Beverly Tran: What should be raised as a concern is why Michigan Supreme Court Justices Maura Corrigan and Robert Young, both who have strong affiliations in the direction of Vista Maria and child welfare, have neglected to take a public position on the severe challenges youth, who age-out the system, are faced with.
But then again, I believe it would be a conflict of interest to advocate for those you adjudicate.

Note: I love this line…
This grotesque heavy-handedness shows how the state and its ever-growing army of liberal do-gooders now feel they have the right to intrude into areas of family life that are none of their business.
Note: Get it through your self-righteous, babystealing heads! Our children are none of your f****** business!

State courts have rightly termed relocation cases, in which a custodial parent’s desire to move away with the child is opposed by the other parent, one of the knottiest and most disturbing problems courts face. The recent trend is to permit such moves. This trend was encouraged by Judith Wallerstein’s influential but controversial amica curiae brief in the California Supreme Court case of Burgess v. Burgess, which argued that allowing such moves is generally in the child’s interests because social science evidence shows that in general, what is good for the custodial parent is good for the child. Subsequent papers have challenged Wallerstein’s characterization of the social science evidence, but in fact there has been no single study offering direct evidence on this question. The current study, which divides college students whose parents were divorced into groups based upon their parents’ moveaway status, sought such direct evidence. We find statistically significant differences favoring children of divorce whose parents did not move, on a variety of outcomes, as reported by the students themselves. These results suggest that the child’s interests require separate consideration from that of the custodial parent’s in the rules by which such relocation cases are decided.

Of all the sinister things that Internet viruses do, this might be the worst: They can make you an unsuspecting collector of child pornography.
Heinous pictures and videos can be deposited on computers by viruses — the malicious programs better known for swiping your credit card numbers. In this twist, it’s your reputation that’s stolen.

Are the family rights people being censored by those stealing our children?
Back in September, our beloved Brenda left a comment on this foster contractors blog. The foster contractor responded just a couple days ago. I posted a link in the newsgroup, and know that Brenda and a couple others responded.
This person has refused to publish many comments in an effort to hide the truth about why many people become foster parents.
The number 1 reason… For the money.
Those who just want to help are few and far between, but foster parents who suck up to workers and believe every lie a worker tells them and spews the regurgitated bullshit that is nothing more than CPS propaganda and misinformation are many.
This is how they make themselves look good while warehousing children for the states.

Note: The truth is that a lot of these “orphans” were stolen from loving parents. Jesus would want his churches to tell the truth, not spread more CPS propaganda and misinformation.
