Grant,

Greetings from Beach haven, North Shore City.

Thank-you for including *Ration Shed* and myself on your OCVS Emailing list, please keep me posted.

Yes I am most certainly interested in attending the NATIONAL COMMUNITY-GOVERNMENT FORUM 2009

on Nov 11.

To answer your questions;

·                     Name and contact details e.g. postal address and preferred email address

Ration Shed, Founder Jim Bailey, 6 Lancaster Rd, Beach Haven, North Shore City, Auckland 0626

09-482-296 – 027-429-0055 – JimBWarrior@vodafone.co.nz

·                     Organisation

Ration Shed – Ration Sheds prime objective is to drive back to good old fashion FAMILY, giving ALL Children Mum, Dad and all 4 Grand Parents where possible and the support of their **Whole Natural Biological FAMILY** by ENSHRINEING  **Preferential Equal Shared Parenting** deep within GLOBAL FAMILY Law and Social Policy. We gladly join all with similar objectives and help build **Equal Parenting** based Orgs where there are none, World-Wide. In that we run a FoodBANK in Beach Haven, help and encourage those going thru difficulties with Family Court, Child Support WINZ, CYFS and most other areas of Bureaucracy. ·                     Population group you identify with

I personally identify with;

1.      Those disabled, especially those whose disabilities are not obvious – Heart and reflux troubles.

2.      Those who take responsibility for their and others Children that struggle because NZ FAMILY Law and Social Policy being so Anti-FAMILY, within Family Court, WINZ and Human Rights Commission.

3.      European and Maori, me being a Fifth Generation Kiwi of Celtic extraction – I have a 35 year old Daughter to a Maori Lady and Grand Daughter and a 13 year old Son to a European women.

4.      Beneficiary’s – My Son has just recently come into my full time day-to-day care after a 14 year fight to **Equal Parent** after his Mother disappearing while pregnant with him which WINZ destroyed by not recognising our FAMILY Court Orders for the whole near 10 years I have been disabled and on an Invalids Benefit. We are in recovery from this extraordinary bias which drained ALL capital and much of my health.

·                     How you can assist us post-forum (e.g. setting up regional contacts, meetings etc)

I believe I can assist in many ways;

1.      Assist Govt and its bureaucrats to understand the difficulties many of their Laws and Social Policies create for FAMILY.

2.      Assist to organise future meetings etc and for them to gain greater perspective due to my huge contact list known as the **FAMILY Friendly Data-Base?** – The ? mark representing the many who I attempt to draw attention to the ways they could help FAMILY orientated Folk do better.

3.      Bring a mature and CHRISTian perspective to the many areas of FAMILY Law and Social Policy which my desire to Father my Children has drawn me into

 I will need travel assistance to get to the Forum.

NATIONAL COMMUNITY-GOVERNMENT

FORUM 2009

ARE YOU INTERESTED?

KIA ORA, TALOFA LAVA, GREETINGS

On 11 November 2009, the Minister for the Community and Voluntary Sector, Hon Tariana Turia will host a national forum to provide an opportunity for the sector, government officials, the Prime Minister and Ministers to discuss the Government’s response to the following reports:

·                     Good Intentions – An Assessment of the Statement of Government Intentions for an Improved Community-Government Relationship – by the Association of Non-Governmental Organisations in Aotearoa (ANGOA)

·                      From Talk to Action: Government Engagement with Citizens and Communities – by the Building Better Government Engagement reference group.

The Office for the Community and Voluntary Sector (OCVS) is working collaboratively with community stakeholders to organise the forum.  We need you to let us know if you wish to take part in this forum. Places are limited. Approximately 140 people can attend from the community and voluntary sector. Selection will be based on achieving a broad representation from across the sector.

Government officials do not need to register here as we will be seeking their participation separately.

We need representatives from different regions and from groups representing wide interests, including sports, arts, social services, religion, education, environment, youth, older people, disabled people, Maori, Pacific peoples and ethnic minorities.

For those of you who would like to attend, we need to know that you will be able to assist us with work following on from the forum.

Please email ocvs@msd.govt.nz  with the following details:
