Subject: Freedom of Information request – FAO – CAFCASS CYMRU RE: Complaints
Dear Sir or Madam,
Please could you advise me if you have recorded any statistics
regarding the complaints made to CAFCASS CYMRU within the last 3
years?
If so please can you inform me of:-
1. Total number of complaints made to CAFCASS CYMRU (whether
accepted or not accepted by CAFCASS CYMRU into their complaints
system).
2. Total number of complaints accepted and registered by CAFCASS
CYMRU.
3. Total number of complaints received but not registered by
CAFCASS CYMRU.
I would like to know how many complaints are “refused” to be
registered by CAFCASS CYMRU, as this could have an impact on Care
and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW) – indeed it is
critical information for CSSIW.
I feel ALL complaints whether upheld or not should be registered,
so that CSSIW will understand the sheer scale of the public
disquiet over the performance of CAFCASS CYMRU.
